Cre8ive Music Studios comprises of four main rooms, refreshment and WC facilities and a reception area. The main studio suite comprises of the Tracking Room and Control Room. The Tracking Room is a good sized fully air-conditioned performing room with high ceiling able to comfortably accommodate a standard 4-5 piece band, a vocal group or choir of up to 25, or a small chamber orchestra of approx 10-15 players. The room can be acoustically tuned to suit a more ‘live’ or ‘dead’ environment enabling it to be used as much for intimate vocal recordings as live rock band recording. It is linked via audio and MIDI through to the Control Room.
The nerve centre of the whole facility, the air-conditioned Control Room houses the main recording and mixing equipment and offers clients a comfortable environment in which to listen to their recorded performances. The heart of the system is a Soundcraft Ghost console and state of the art quad-core music PC running ProTools 7 and Cubase 4.5. The Control Room has been acoustically designed to offer a superb monitoring environment. It has been tested by an independent professional acoustic engineer and showed a very flat response - indicating a perfect mixing environment.
The Project Studio is a smaller studio equipped for writing, arranging, remixing and voice over/vocal recording. All audio output can be saved to the integrated network and picked up in the Control Room for final mixing and mastering. The Project Studio is also linked via audio to the Control Room, so can be used as a second tracking room for drums, guitar amps, vocals etc.
The Client Lounge is designed primarily for relaxation, with facilities including Digital TV reception, DVD player, Xbox 360, PS2 and Gamecube – all of which are connected to the mounted projector for a real big-screen experience, together with 5.1 surround sound. As well as being a great place to relax, the lounge is also connected via audio to both the Project Studio and Control Room allowing it to be utilised as a further performing or tracking room.
